It was unclear whether or not the Los Angeles Clippers would be able to come back from their tough loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. But all doubts were soon dispelled as the Clippers mounted a high-flying and stylish victory over the Milwaukee Bucks 117-101 yesterday.
Jamal Crawford had a monster of a game, coming off the bench with 25 points. And that was after twisting his ankle early in the game. But not only did he shoot almost 69% from the field, but he set up Blake Griffin for, in my opinion, the best dunk of the year.
Picture it with me. Crawford dashes up the court on a fast break. He catches the ball, passes it between his legs, then nonchalantly tosses it over his shoulder. And who is there is catch it? None other than Griffin, who windmills the ball into the basket for the incredible dunk.
For the Clippers, Crawford led the team with 25 points, and Griffin followed with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Matt Barnes also had a great game, contributing 20 points.
For the Bucks, Monta Ellis led the team with 22 points and 6 assists. Ersan Ilyasova followed with 20 points, and Brandon Jennings put up 18 points and 12 assists.
Last night’s victory boosts the Clippers to 44-19, but the team doesn’t have much time to rest or celebrate. They travel to Colorado to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight, a team that beat the Clippers 92-78 in January.
