A Letter to Magic Johnson from Los Angeles Lakers Fans

Dear Magic Johnson,

We get it. You know how to run a professional sports team and your former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, are incapable of running one. We get it. DON’T MAKE US FEEL WORSE! Last night you went on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and threw dirt on the Lakers grave.

Why’d you have to go and do that? We know Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchak made a horrendous decision when they hired Mike D’Antoni over the immortal Phil Jackson. We talk about it on Twitter every night. Why’d you have to go on National TV remind us of the dark place we go to every time we see the Lakers lose a game?

Can’t we embrace the tank job together in peace and talk about how to move the franchise in the right direction? You need to be a supporter of the Lakers future. We need you to get involved with the Buss family and help guide them to greener pastures whether you’re being paid by the team or you’re just helping out an old friend. We need you Magic. Enough Laker bashing. Let’s all move forward together.
