Location: Smoothie King Center (New Orleans, LA)

Coming off a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Los Angeles Clippers face the New Orleans Pelicans tonight in NOLA. The Clippers also have a new addition tonight in Glen Davis, who will wear #12 for the Clips. Since the All-Star break, the Pelicans have lost three straight games and have lost five out of their last six games overall. Mishaps on defense has been costing the Pelicans games down the stretch. In Saturday’s loss to the Washington Wizards the Pelicans didn’t make a field goal in the final 5:15 minutes of play. Nene made a game winning dunk with 0.3 seconds left to seal the victory for the Wizards. Against the Clippers the Pelicans need to get off to a quick start if they want to escape with a victory.

The Clippers, on the other hand, snapped a two-game losing streak against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday afternoon. On the road is where the Clippers have been struggling the most. Heading into Sunday’s game against the Thunder they boasted a road record 14-15. The positive statistic for the Clippers is that they are the second highest scoring team in the NBA at 106.7 ppg. DeAndre Jordan is one the league leaders in rebounding and teammate Blake Griffin is fifth in scoring.

Griffin will have his hands full as he will be going up against Anthony Davis. In the Clippers first matchup, Davis scored 24 point and 12 rebounds in comparison to Griffin’s 21 points and 10 rebound. The Clippers came out victorious in that game. The Pelicans are 6-10 at home against Western Conference opponents.
