TWC SportsNet LA Launches with Dodgers Spring Training Game

Today the Los Angeles Dodgers and Time Warner Cable launch SportsNet LA to the world. The first broadcast will be at 7:00 PM PST today and will broadcast the Dodgers Spring Training opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks. While I’m not sure who will say the first words on this new network, let’s hope the Dodgers do it right and let Vin Scully speak the first words ever on the network.

SportsNet LA is only available to Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks right now; however, the team and the cable provider are in negotiations with other cable and satellite providers right now and will hopefully strike a deal by March 22nd. TWC SportsNet LA is on Channel 291 and Channel 431 for TWC customers.

The new Dodgers network will broadcast every single Dodger game, whether it be in rain or shine, night or day, Vin Scully or *GULP* no Vin Scully. All Dodgers, all the time. I guess we’re all about to bleed a darker shade of blue.

For those who are wondering, here is the starting lineup for the Dodgers Spring Training Opener:

Chone Figgins, SS

Carl Crawford, LF

Yasiel Puig, RF

Juan Uribe, 3B

Joc Pederson, CF

Scott Van Slyke, 1B

Tim Federowicz, C

Alexander Guerrero, 2B

Justin Turner, DH

Clayton Kershaw, P
