Lakers Try To Bounce Back Against Loss Against The Pacers

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Memphis Grizzlies today, as they are coming off a blow-out against the Indiana Pacers. The Lakers are 3-7 in there last 10 games and have lost two in a row. Memphis is going to have it tough for the remainder of the season, as they will play 16 of the last 27 games on the road. The Grizzlies will try to make it four consecutive games won at the FedExForum. Newly acquired Kent Bazemore was the only Laker to score more then 15 points in the loss against Indiana.

Despite the Lakers having multiple conflicts during the season, they had won back-to-back games before Tuesday’s loss. The Grizzlies and Lakers have split their last two matchups, with both teams winning on the other opponents home court. Lakers are 7-25 since the last time they won against Memphis on their home court.  Memphis has the Lakers number when it comes to rebounding this season with a 100-77 margin. Who has most of those rebounds? Zach Randolph, who else? Jodie Meeks is the Lakers best option when it comes to scoring against the Grizzlies and is averaging 19 points while shooting 57.7 from the field against Memphis.

Meeks had 25 points in the Nov.15 loss. Pau Gasol added 21 points and nine rebounds when the Lakers played Memphis on Dec.17. Nick Young scored 18 points in both games. The Grizzlies have won four straight at home. Lakers need to limit offensive if they want to win this game. Keeping Marc Gasol and Randolph just might help secure the victory.
