The NFL Draft is taking place this week in New York City, where it has been held for the past 25+ years. However, that may be soon changing if the Mayors of Los Angeles and Chicago have anything to do with it.
During his media availability on Monday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that both Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti are both aggressively pursuing the 2015 NFL Draft.
Just spoke to @nflcommish for Tues Night Draft Special — says mayors of Chicago and LA very aggressive in trying to get the 2015 Draft.

While it is too early to speculate on the possibilities of actually moving the NFL Draft away from it’s New York residence, it is an interesting note from the commissioner.
The city of Los Angeles has been without an NFL team since 1995, when both the Rams and Raiders bolted town. Despite many close calls over the years, Los Angeles has failed to secure an NFL team, despite being in the United States’ second largest market.
Would moving the 2015 NFL Draft to Los Angeles be a first step on the road back to having an NFL team in LA?
