Pau Gasol left the Lakers after seven very successful season with the franchise in pursuit of another championship, this time without the guidance of Kobe Bryant. There’s absolutely no animosity between Pau and Kobe, as Pau has said “We’re brothers”.

While there’s no bad blood between the two, it will still be intriguing to see them go after one another in what should hopefully be another wildly entertaining Christmas Day game. This is the first time in awhile that the Lakers haven’t hosted a game on Christmas Day. In fact, it is one of the best days of basketball in Los Angeles all year. Now, the Clippers are hosting the Warriors at Staples Center? Doesn’t seem right.

Regardless, Pau versus Kobe. Carlos Boozer versus his former teammates. Derrick Rose running at full strength? It’s an intriguing game on the best day of basketball this side of May.
