James Harden and the Houston Rockets embarrassed the Lakers Sunday night at Staples Center.

I say, “Houston, we have a problem in Los Angeles,” pun intended because they will be back tomorrow night to face the Clippers.

The problem is they play here back to back nights.

After their win tonight can they get a second win tomorrow night before heading out of L.A.

It seems as if this young Lakers team cannot squeeze out a win yet after their short 3 game win streak.

Everyone knows this is a rebuilding process, but even the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Portland Trailblazers the other night for their 5th win.

The Lakers are still looking for their tenth win of the season.

The Good news is ,they aren’t the worst team in the league right now, just the worst in the Western Conference.

Even in a loss while rebuilding the Lakers played well for a struggling team.

Looking at the box score, they did everything right,t but couldn’t just make shots and their opponent were making their shots they took.

If they made their shots they took this game would have been close.

This is a current theme for the team this year; the fact that they can’t close out in the second half.

If they have the lead at halftime or come back in the start of the third quarter they can’t keep their consistency up for the entire second half.

The bad news for them in this game is they were outscored with points scored in the paint 70 to 46

Good news for them, though, is Kobe was active tonight and in the game as well with 9 assists.

With 9 assists, Kobe passed Jerry West for 2nd place on the Lakers career assist list.

Everyone thought he doesn’t pass, but here is proof he does and does a lot.

This proves he passed the ball as much as he shot the ball in his career by moving up the Lakers career assist list.

Once again, the leading scorer for the team was Lou Williams, with 20 points, followed by Clarkson with 16.

It is as if the team cannot catch a break.

In their losses; they have shown glimpses of what the future with this team holds.

An issue with the team is for them to stay consistent, keep the flow of the game, and stay in it.

They need to trade and acquire some players for the bench who are good competitors to have a good bench team.

Before last night, the Rockets were coming off a loss against the Cavaliers.

Tomorrow they will be coming off a win against the Lakers; while the Clippers are coming off a loss, after riding a 10 game winning streak without Blake Griffin.
