After trading  Josh Smith back to the Houston Rockets, the Los Angeles Clippers traveled to New York to take on the Knicks for their second game of their five game road trip.

Deandre Jordan was the leading scorer of the night with 20 points.

The perfect statistic of the night is Wesley Johnson was a perfect 4-4 from the three point line.

In this game, six players were in double figures.

Wesley Johnson was a perfect 4-for-4 from the three point line.

As a team, they shot 23 three pointers and made 13 of them, being a 56.5% from downtown.

All of the Clippers were working together.

They made plays for each other that led to shots and six players in double figures in points.

The Clippers were making their shots.

On the box score it looks like the New York Knicks would be winning since they attempted more field goals and were 90% from the charity stripe.

Just because they attempted more sots doesn’t mean they win, though.

Many of the shots they attempted they missed while the Clippers attempted less but made more of those attempted shots.

The Clippers had more fast break points and less turnovers than their opponent did.

Each team scored the same amount of points in the paint (38).

What helped the Clippers to win this game is that multiple players were making most of their shots they threw up.

I call this appropriate shot selection.

When you play as a team, the team can accomplish great feats as the Clippers did last night.

They won this game by 28 points.

The New York Knicks did foul Jordan multiple times using the Hack-a-Jordan strategy.

By doing this the slow the game down for each team.

If the player who is fouled is known for missing their free throws all the opposing team has to do is make their shots.

However ,this strategy seemed to backfire on them.

They player they fouled ended up be the leading scorer not only for the Clippers but he also lead the whole game with the most points.

More from LA Sports Hub

He was 50% from the charity stripe and perfect 7-7 from the field.

This was a beautiful game from Deandre after all this talk and rumors about whether to change the Hack-A-Player foul.

This game from Jordan comes after fellow big man Andre Drummond from the Pistons was fouled 5 consistently by the Houston Rockets and he missed 23 free throws.

Jordan free throw shooting has been improving since opposing teams have been fouling him.
