20. Final. 95. 24. 99

In this article, I’ll break down my preview and prediction for the Lakers vs Bulls game tomorrow evening.

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers face the Chicago Bulls Thursday night at Staples Center.

They have lost six straight games by 13 points or more.

They got the bad side Tuesday night by the referees against the Dallas Mavericks, where the game should have gone to overtime.

The Bulls  are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Lakers are dead last and still looking for the tenth win of the season.

Kobe has been sitting out of some games due to injuries and playing others when the trainers don’t want him to; because it is his last games at certain arenas and he wants to enjoy his last game in the arenas.

He has done decent in some and played poor in others.

  • Kobe has been able to change his style of play, for this season for some plays and games for the younger teammates on the team.

He has showed flashes of his younger self in some games this year as well.

In multiple losses the team has gotten embarrassed and in other losses they have come back form double digit deficits to come within 2.

The team has been improving in every game.

Even in their last six games, which were blowouts, different players have shined and stepped when needed.

One night it is D’Angelo Russell then on another night it is Lou Williams or Jordan Clarkson.

They all have been working as a team.

Each player has contributed to their strengths in the games such as rebounds, free throws, or defense, or three-pointers.

Head coach Byron Scott has been using the blowout games to help see different players strengths and weaknesses and how they play with starters and bench players.

He has been using the games as practices, to see how the starters improve and work with each other as well as to see the chemistry.

He has been using these games to see where each player fits in his coaching style best, to help them win games next season because the team has improved more than when the season started, they just need time to practice and build chemistry with each other.

Those games are flash forwards for that is to come in the future.

Kobe has been mentoring the team this year so far.

All his fruit, labor, hard work he has been helping with the younger players we won’t see come into fruition until next year.

Here are my 3 keys to the Lakers getting a win at home:

    • The Lakers need to pass the ball more than 5 times, to take a high percentage shot, which is an approbate shot selection by doing this will lead to more made baskets than missed baskets.
    • Defend the paint. Make the Bulls defeat them on 3 pointers and jump shots, not the easy dribble drive by in the paint.
    • Last but not least, rebounds and turnovers. Don’t turn over the ball and create turnovers and score points off of them.
