It’s now or never for the Clippers.

If the Clippers are going to win the NBA Championship, this year is their best chance to win it all.

This past Sunday, power forward Blake Griffin returned from injuries and a suspension for punching the team’s equipment manager in the face; he has played in three games since his return.

He could have started serving his four game suspension earlier because his hand had healed, but what was preventing him from coming back faster was that his quad issue from earlier in the year was still hurting.

This is good for the team, since it wasn’t like they were doing bad without him.

If anything they were doing better without him.

They get Griffin back just in time for the playoffs, too.

They have improved so much without him on both sides of the ball because multiple players have got more minutes and been able to take shots they wouldn’t be able to when Blake is playing.

  • Lets all be honest — the Clippers are better without him, but they do need him for defensive purposes and to get over the hump because of his physicality.

Especially since Griffin is known for his defense not his offense.

The Clippers have a rim protector in Deandre Jordan, so it’ll be essential for him to find a way to work well with Griffin in the postseason.

He can dunk and he has been improving on his jump shots but is a straight defender.

Many other players on the team other than Chris Paul have stepped up on the offensive side of the ball such as JJ Redick and Wesley Johnson.

If the Los Angeles Clippers are going to win a NBA championship this year is their time or never.

Yes, they have a better record and their statistics are better without Griffin, but he is the defender that makes the hustle plays where the NBA doesn’t keep stats and that is what the Clippers need to win a championship.

This team has proven they can beat the top three teams in the Western Conference, or at least keep pace with them for the full four quarters.

For the Clippers to win the NBA Championship this year they need to end up playing the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.

Yet there is just one problem and here is why the Clippers won’t win the NBA Championship they must win this year — getting through each round with clean hands.

The Clippers can defeat anyone on any given night, yet this year’s setup will just be like a bump in the road and won’t be easy.

If they can take down the defending champions then they could go on to win the whole thing.
