Jalen Ramsey could very well be heading to Los Angeles.

With the Los Angeles Rams making a bold attempt to change the future late Wednesday night, the team traded numerous drafts picks to land the first overall pick courtesy of Tennessee.

Countless experts are thinking thinking that Los Angeles should draft Cal star Jared Goff or NDSU star Carson Wentz — but I am thinking they should be going all out on defense and drafting Florida State star defensive back Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey is the best overall football player in this year’s draft without a doubt, and it’s no argument. He’s very versatile, plays all over the field like Pittsburgh Steelers great Troy Polamalu, and has the balls skills of Oakland Raiders great Charles Woodson.

Teaming Ramsey up with guys like Aaron Donald, Trumaine Johnson, and Mark Barron would create nightmares for opposing teams.

As we all know the old saying that defense wins championships — the Denver Broncos proved just that in this year’s Super Bowl.

The Rams should refrain from drafting a quarterback with the 1st overall pick.

There will be tremendous amounts of pressure put on that quarterback to perform in a city like Los Angeles, and not every young player can thrive in Los Angeles.

Also, in this years draft, the quarterback position is very deep and Los Angeles can get away with drafting a quarterback in the middle rounds.

For example, after their first overall pick the Rams won’t draft again till the 4th round. Quarterbacks that’ll likely be on the board will be Christian Hackenberg, Cardale Jones, Dak Prescott, and Kevin Hogan.

Hackenberg could be the best out of the group I just named, and he may need a few yeas of riding the bench before starting.

Coming into play is signing a free agent quarterback that can make Los Angeles competitive until that quarterback is ready.

Also, Kevin Hogan has proved he can lead a team and can be a winner at the next level. He isn’t the most athletic at the position, but Hogan can be a true sleeper at the quarterback position in this year’s draft.

Los Angeles needs to go that route of drafting talent with the first overall pick and waiting later to draft a quarterback due to this draft being so deep at the position.

Ramsey’s pro day was magnificent; he ran a 4.41 40-yard dash, he has a nice size on him being 6’1 and 209 pounds, he can play corner and safety, and also he was a two time all American at Florida State recording 180 tackles and 3 interceptions.

Drafting a potential game changer like Ramsey can go well for the next decade and can potentially help this team become a juggernaut on defense every single year.

And once again, defense will always wins championships.

Los Angeles went 7-9 a season ago with Nick Foles as the starting quarterback until being replaced by Case Keenum.

Therefore, imagine if Ryan Fitzpatrick is the starting QB for a few seasons until the drafted quarterback is ready.

With a defense that includes Aaron Donald, Mark Barron, Trumaine Johnson and Jalen Ramsey, that could build a winning recipe going forward and it should help Jeff Fisher keep his job in Los Angeles.
