7. 8. 102. Final. 4

Nick Tropeano and the Angels are hoping to get back to .500 with win and series sweep of the defending World Series  Champions.

Manager Mike Scioscia and the rest of the team have had a rough start to the 2016 MLB regular season.

The Angels played playoff caliber teams in the month of April and the month of May seems to be only just as rough.

If they are going to make the playoffs and vie for a championship; they need to get back on track by winning some games in the early beginning of the season, therefore they can rest starters when it comes to making playoffs.

They currently hold a record of 10-11 after defeating the Kansas City Royals in game 2 of a 3 game series.

Tonight April 27 they look to sweep the series against the Royals in Anaheim and get back to at .500.

Albert Pujols first baseman got the team off to a good start in the first game by hitting two home runs passing Reggie Jackson to move up to 13th place on the all-time home run list with a total of 565 home runs.

In 2015 the Angels missed the playoffs after previously making it in 2014 with one of the best records.

In 2014 for them to make the playoffs they had to rely on the Houston Astros to lose their last three games and the Angels had to take care of business and defeat the Texas Rangers in three games.

At the end of the season they missed the playoffs by one game.

In order for them to not reply on others during the end of the season they need to play good ball right now and of course all of the season.

Besides all stars Pujols and Mike Trout role players need to step up and have a great game and season as well.

The whole team needs to perform and not rely on just two people; it takes the the whole team and effort from everyone to earn the victories.

While Tropeano earns the start for the last game Chris Young will start for the Royals.

According to the professional baseball website mlb.com, the Angels and their matchups have gotten the better of the Royals over the last five years.

With that being said,

Here are my three keys to the game tonight for the Angels to get the win and get back in the right direction.

  1. Angels need to get on base. If they do that then the rest of the lineup has solid ability to get those runners to home and build up multiple RBIs also known as runs batted in. They have a good at-batting average against the Royals.
  2. When on base they need to successfully steal bases to have a higher probability of being batted in to home plate to score.
  3. On defense the one thing they need to do is not have any unforced errors. The less errors the more confident the team will play.

Next: Anaheim Ducks must survive nightmare scenario

By successfully executing these three keys to the game the Angels will complete the series sweep of the defending World Series Champions and get back to .500 at 11-11.
