Luke Walton was introduced in LA as the Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach on Tuesday June 21, 2016.

Walton was formerly an assistant coach to Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

Coming off fresh of a Game 7 loss in the NBA Finals, Walton reported to LA as soon as he could and started getting to work as new head coach of the Lakers.

Walton has the recipe to win multiple NBA Finals Championships, as he won a couple with the Lakers as a player and won a title as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors.

He is excited to start getting to work as being head coach of the Lakers which is his dream job.

Many critics including his father said he should not take this job, partially because they have had 3 straight losing seasons.

His dad does not want to see him fail, no dad wants to see their kid fail, they want to see them succeed.

Yet, this is his dream job and he wants to succeed on being the main guy instead of an assistant.

Let us remember when Kerr was out with a back injury, Walton lead the Warriors to a 39-4 historic start in the NBA.

Now the question remains can he do that with the Lakers upcoming roster?

Also, he wants to prove to all the critics and doubters instead of failing, he can and he will turn this Los Angeles Lakers team back to stardom.

He has plenty of work to do that will keep him busy from coaching staff to player personnel.

His next step is to assist on who the Lakers should draft with the number 2 overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft and this will be a big decision.

Who they draft will play a big role in the future of the team.

Walton has to decide as well if they are going to acquire player(s) from free agency and who they should acquire that will be the puzzle piece to Waltons system.

He will use components of formulas he learned from the Lakers as a player and the Warriors as an assistant to make the Lakers a competitive team once again using his own formula.

Drafting the right players in the draft and attracting the correct players in the free agency market along with the current roster, Walton will have a recipe for a championship within the next year.

He has plenty of choices and making the correct decisions will either lead to disaster or great things in the future.

Some of these decisions include the current roster and who to let go and who to keep.

This is just one along with many others such as mentioned previously in this article.
