LA Clippers and Blake Griffin need each other to succeed.

This statement may sound absurd, but these two need each other given the stats, that proved to us the LA Clippers were in fact a much more complete team without Griffin.

Griffin and the organization need each other to be successful, despite what the statistics say, because Griffin adds depth at the power forward position, especially with his defensive skill set.

There are rumors swirling around if Griffin will be traded to another team before the season starts, which is possible, but I deem it highly unlikely.

They just made the playoffs for the 6th consecutive year and unfortunately lost in the first round to the Portland Trailblazers, due to multiple starters missing games because of injuries.

The play by the bench helped carry them, yet they came up just short.

Imagine if all of the team had been healthy and what could have been.

Griffin brings that defensive presence to the front court alongside Deandre Jordan; his offense may be a work in progress, but his defense is excellent.

Also, the LA Clippers just drafted former UNC power forward Brice Johnson and who better than Blake Griffin to mentor Johnson as they both have a similar style of play.

The unique quality about drafting Johnson, keeping Griffin, and also having Jeff Green on the roster is that they are all power forwards, who can play the center position if the team ever decided to play small ball.

For example, this would work against the Golden State Warriors because they often go small. The Clippers could now match up to them by going small as well.

This would help the Clippers to have a higher chance of winning more games in the Western Conference and especially against the rival Golden State Warriors.

Also, this would make the rivalry between these two teams more competitive than it already is.

This is dangerous for other teams in the league as well, because Lob City is heading in the right direction.

They are moving in the right direction by making moves in the present for the post-season. They were already mentioned in talks about competing for a NBA Championship in the 2016 regular season, as they ended it with the 4th seed in the Western Conference.

All they needed was the proper mentality, attitude, along with confidence and staying healthy for them to advance into the Western Conference Finals.

Next: Will Clippers Pursue Kevin Durant?

They had a chance to land free agent Kevin Durant in the free agency period.

They pitched to him that playing with Lob City he would part of a Big 4, which consists of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan, and Durant.

He was impressed by their pitch and he really liked it, but most likely he is going to resign with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Have the Clippers swayed Durants’ decision to play with the Clippers in the near future and compete for a NBA Finals Title?
