Jeff Fisher wants the LA Rams to be successful, hence why he’s holding out on starting rookie quarterback Jared Goff.

Once again the Los Angeles Rams lose another game, this is their 4th consecutive loss since starting out 3-1.

Their defense stood tall only allowing the Panthers to score 13 points. It was the Rams offense that mainly struggled. Case Keenum couldn’t get the offense going behind his offensive line. There were chants by LA Rams fans of, “We Want Goff!”

They fans chanted this because they’re frustrated about their team in general. They are upset that their defense can do great, special teams does okay, and their offense has its consistent troubles. There is many valid reasons on about why Jared Goff should start over Case Keenum in the next game.

Keenum has had trouble throwing the ball for first downs consistently. He has had his times of poor decision making. Then there are games where he has great decision making and with their defense the LA Rams come out victorious.

Remember to win the game the team must win all 3 phases of the game. This three phases are offense, defense, and special teams. They must win all of them not just two of them.

In brief and paraphrase I will tell you what former LA Rams quarterback Vince Ferragamo, mentioned Sunday on Good Day LA on why Goff should not start despite the LA Rams offensive struggles. He stated, “that himself was in a similar situation and that if he started his rookie year he wouldn’t have succeeded despite the thought that he thought he could.”

Vince is saying the Rams should wait to start Goff until everyone on the team is playing great football, from defense to offense. A great example is the receiving core. Ferragamo started his 3rd year after he developed completely, knew everything, and he knew he was ready. Also his team was clicking in all three phases of the game. Everyone was playing great football.

When the LA Rams offense is playing great football along with defense and special teams, then you start Jared Goff if Case is not getting the job done.

He explained that the LA Rams should wait to start Goff, until he is ready and when the team is clicking on all 3 phases of the game.

Their defense is good, they are working out kinks on special teams and once they figure out the offensive holes they should be fine.

In the midst of all the drama Case Keenum will start Sunday against the New York Jets. Jeff Fisher explains about it in his press conference.

Goff would be a good quarterback, yet behind this decent offensive line he would struggle to complete throws under pressure as he is not a mobile quarterback; he is an excellent pocket passer. It also doesn’t help when his receivers would drop catches thrown his way.

Once the LA Rams are developed on all three phases of the game and Keenum is still making poor decisions then your start Goff. That could be by the end of this year, or sometime next year or even in the future.

Jeff Fisher has been saying he wants to give Goff the best chance to succeed. With Keenum not succeeding now, why do fans think Goff will. No quarterback will behind a struggling offensive line and untrustworthy receivers.

What Fisher needs to do is go out and sign a few players who are offensive lineman to protect his quarterback.

Basically he LA Rams need to stay with Keenum all season long, preparing for the worst and expecting the best. This year is a developing a process. They need to calm down and relax. Trust the process. Then next year they will be fine.

They may even be fine at the end of the season.
