77. Final. 96. 38. 105

It was more than just another game for the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers faced the Orlando Magic seeking to keep some momentum going by staying undefeated in the new year. But the young, struggling Magic proved difficult to put away.

Sloppy play kept the Magic in the game, while the veteran Clippers relied heavily on the 3 point shot that was not falling hitting just 4 in the first half.

Thankfully, they were able to pull away for the 105-96 win in the end.

The Clippers got their usual contribution from Chris Paul and J.J. Redick., as they combined for 40 points 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Whenever the Clippers were struggling to score, either Redick or Paul would go on a scoring spurt to lift the team.

Paul would put an exclamation point on the game by hitting a dagger three with 49 seconds left in the game pushing the Clippers lead to nine sealing the game.

On the other end of the floor, DeAndre Jordan manned the middle. Blocking shots and grabbing 20 rebounds for the sixth time this year.

For the Clippers, the fourteen rebound edge highlighted their dominance on the boards.

In the 2nd half the Magic were able to stay close but the Clippers pulled away thanks to contributions from the bench. More specifically, Marreese Speights scored 10 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter including 3 three pointers.

Overall it was a matter of the Clippers talent overcoming the Magic youth.
