As the Atlanta Falcons clinched their ticket to Super Bowl 51, former UCLA standout Brett Hundley got a chance to play.

While it wasn’t Aaron Rodgers’ day by any means, Brett Hundley got to play a few snaps as the game officially escaped.

Green Bay came to Atlanta with the hopes that they could knock off another top seed in the NFC. Unfortunately for them, the game did not end like last week’s stunning win in Dallas.

The Packers now enter the off-season with more questions than answers. Hundley showed that he could come in, but his replacement of Rodgers didn’t do too much damage.

Coming at a point where the game was out of reach, it’s still an exciting opportunity for the young NFL backup.

If anything, Hundley taking the field was the final nail in the coffin for what was a mostly tremendous season. Green Bay overcame a number of obstacles, but above all was a 4-6 start to the season.

From that point on, Aaron Rodgers claimed that his team would run the table. In an effort to fulfill that promise, Rodgers and company won out the rest of the regular season.

The team then handled the Giants handily at home before ending Dak Prescott’s season early.

In a season full of big highlights and wonderful moments, Brett Hundley getting to take the field is hopefully a sign that he’ll get more playing time soon.

That likely won’t come with the Packers, barring, of course, some crazy injury situation.

If Hundley can earn the respect of another team in the league, he could get a chance to play as a starter.

The Atlanta Falcons will play the winner of the Steelers – Patriots AFC Championship.
