Clippers trade rumors: Where would Serge Ibaka fit in?

facebooktwitterreddit

Serge Ibaka is on the trading block way of the Orlando Magic.

Serge Ibaka has brought experience to Orlando. If he were to land in LA experience would only be one attribute he’d bring.

Not only does he have experience in the league, but also in the post-season.

Los Angeles has players who have experience with both.

However they could be improved bringing in a player with a lot of experience in the playoffs.

Ibaka would be the man since when he was with the OKC Thunder he played in multiple playoff games.

Also, Serge Ibaka could be a mentor to the young guys on the team.

There is plenty of skill and wisdom that he will bring to the team.

His style of play is unique and it is him, who he is. He is a versatile player.

How does his style of play fit in with LA is the question that arises if traded to the team.

Also, would he start or come off the bench?

I think he would have to come off the bench.

Serge Ibaka to come off the bench could very well influence his decision on asking to be traded to another team.

However, he shouldn’t worry because he would even have opportunities to start.

Additionally, adding him to the bench would add depth and consistency to LA. They would be legitimate contenders to compete for a title.

Of course they would have to acquire Serge Ibaka somehow.

Ibaka brings the knack of crashing the glass and the ability to knock the shot down from downtown.

Having him come off the bench would mean all bench players are dangerous from the arc.

Next: Who will Clippers try to trade?

Imagine this bench lineup,  (PG), Jamal Crawford (SG), Wesley Johnson (SF), Marreese Speights (PF), Serge Ibaka (C).
