The LA Clippers are observing the availability of Danilo Gallinari.

LA is interested in trading for Danilo Gallinari.

Wilson Chandler is a Nugget I wrote about that LA should go after if they don’t get Carmelo Anthony. If Chandler lands somewhere else then Gallinari would be just as good of a player to trade for. He would help Lob City with Lobs, from downtown, and on defense.

There is plenty of talent and skills he has and LA would appreciate to have him.

The question comes to mind who will the Clippers give up? Since Danilo Gallinari isn’t a superstar they wouldn’t have to give up much.

Realistically, they could give up rookie Diamond Stone and Brandon Bass which would help Denver’s hole in the front court.

Danilo Gallinari is a versatile power forward. His range goes to behind the arc and is good in the post. When in he is iso he is good off the dribble drive.

He is an excellent team player and finds the open player when guarded. If he is open he doesn’t hesitate to take the shot.

Also, if the Clippers were to sign him they could play him at the 3 or 4. If he were to play the 4, Griffin would be at the 5, and Luc Mbah A Moute at the 3 for defense. Additionally, if they wanted players who can score he could replace A Moute at the 3.

Danilo Gallinari is averaging 17.2 points per game according to espn.com. He would definitely be in the starting rotation with the versatility he brings.

Bringing in Gallinari would help the Clippers to make a playoff push without losing key players they need.
