In the latest Dodgers roster preview, there’s a lot to look at in the outfield.

With left field and right field still yet to be settled, the in-camp battles have intensified as manager Dave Roberts pursues consistency and ability to take advantage of match-ups.

There are left-handers in right field and right-handers in left field – and everything in between.

Contact hitters, speedy runners, silver sluggers and Gold Glove winners abound in the deep outfield, but pressing questions remain.

Not only is Roberts determining who will start, the glut of quality outfielders provides the quandary of playing time, and the awkwardness of potentially releasing or sending a player (or two) down to the minor leagues.

It is a pleasant problem to have.

But one that needs to be solved before the Dodgers break camp and head to Chavez Ravine to take on the Padres April 3rd for Opening Day.

I analyze the outfield situation here, player by player.
