With March Madness 2017 upon us, Liz Habib of Fox 11 took the time to share her thoughts on our podcast.

Above all else, this year’s dance in college hoops will be dominating by conversation regarding top potential draft picks. Not only how they perform in the tournament, but also what that means for their draft stock.

Filling out her bracket, Liz Habib was quick to show her faith in the Bruins.

“They’ll get through Kent State,” Habib said, “that’s simple for them.”

She added that the team won’t stop after just one win, either.

“UCLA could get through this whole bracket,” Habib continued, “I don’t care what anyone says about North Carolina. They can get through this bracket…I’ll take them to the Final Four.”

Admittedly, the Bruins had a not-so-great showing in their conference tournament, but Habib insists that they’ll put that behind them.

Star point guard Lonzo Ball has the chance to further cement his status as a top overall draft pick. In order to help his case, Habib encouraged him to be himself.

Often in the same conversation as Lonzo is his father, LaVar, who has become recently famous for bold statements and somewhat bizarre claims.

“I’ve talked to LaVar Ball, I had him on my show on Sunday…I love the guy. He came up Big Baller Brand, he’s gotten his three sons more attention than I’ve ever seen a dad get in a long, long time. Certainly in the social media era.”

Whether or not teams choose to pass on Lonzo Ball in the draft because of his father is yet to be determined. Nothing with regards to that situation will become clear until draft night, but Habib didn’t hold back.
