More recent Lakers rumors have come across such as Los Angeles purposely tanking their season.

Many Lakers rumors have to do with the present and about what to do now.

LA is officially eliminated form playoff contention. LA will end the season with their 4th straight losing season.

This is horrendous for an organization known to be great. However all great things must come to an end.

Additionally, in order to succeed at times you must fail because you learn what not to do next time.

Therefore the question is are these Lakers rumors possibly true that LA is tanking on purpose?

This question has multiple answers to it. In some degree yes they are because there are only about 10 games left.

If they want to keep their lottery pick they have to do worse than the Phoenix Suns.

Lebron James had encouragement and praise for Brandon Ingram and the young Lakers. He mentioned they don’t seem like a team that won 20 games, they are better than their record.

All I am saying is watch out for the Lakers in 2018, they are coming with a goal in mind to win th NBA Finals and be one of the longest teams ever to win it all.

Does tanking on purpose mean Los Angeles is a bad team?

No it does not, although it seems like it in some games they are.

Head coach Luke Walton has gained experience this season as a head coach for a full season. Now he knows what he didn’t know then.

Walton understands he has a team with a young core and bright future. Additionally, he has Magic Johnson as president of Basketball Operations.

These two think alike. Magic says LA is one superstar away rom competing again. Luke believes his young core is special and just needs time to be great.

However what if the Lakers have a superstar on their team that hasn’t shined yet or they get a superstar in the draft?

I have stated to my friends that the Lakers in the near future are the next super team.

They will have to wait to sign a free agent superstar in the off-season. This is their smart move because if they signed them at the trade deadline the superstar player could have left for another team.

However this way they sign them in the off-season they have to stay the entire season unless traded.

It is nice to see Luke Walton an this players have each others back and defend each other in any situation.

Should the Lakers rumors instead be the Laker are tanking with a purpose?

Sounds like it to me.
