2017 will mark the fourth consecutive season that the Los Angeles Lakers miss the postseason. According to these Lakers rumors, how can the franchise return to its winning ways?

It is so bewildering that the Los Angeles Lakers are in the current drought that they are in. Under a decade ago we witness Kobe Bryant win championship number four and five, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest of all time. Now, in 2017, the Lakers find themselves in the middle of yet another disappointing season.

With so much promising youth within the organization, it is a bit of a surprise that the Lakers are as bad as they are. Not saying they are yet playoff caliber, but the team seems much more capable than the 21 wins they currently hold. Sure, the argument can be made that the team is tanking to keep their draft pick, but their record is very alarming.

The fact of the matter is that the Los Angeles Lakers were over-reliant on the legacy of Kobe Bryant. They were willing to open their pocketbooks and pay Bryant whatever he so pleased. While they did get five rings out of his presence, the after effects are very apparent.

Still, while the front office is still making questionable moves, there is no reason to think that this ship cannot be turned around. In today’s NBA where a super team is required, it may take more time than normal, but it can be done.

Therefore, with that being said, according to our very own lakers rumors what are three moves the Lakers need to make to return to the postseason?
