With a long history in the illustrious city of Los Angeles, there have been many epic comebacks. Which comebacks are the best in LA Sports history?

They are calling it the “Comeback on Katella,” the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 double OT comeback win set an NHL record when the Ducks scored three goals to force OT with less than three minutes left.  So after that miracle, it’s time to look at other great come from behind wins in LA sports.

2012 Los Angeles Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies Game 1

In their first year as team “Lob City,” the Clippers had acquired Chris Paul making their first playoff appearance since 2006 and had become a legitimate contender in the NBA.  In their first playoff game against the Grizzlies, the Clippers found themselves down 21 points going into the 4th quarter and had been down as much as 27 points.

It was so bad Paul had to beg then-coach Vinny Del Negro to let him play the 4th quarter and not give up on the team.  All the Clippers did was go on a 26-1 run to tie the biggest comeback in an NBA playoff game.  It was Paul who provided the winning margin 99-98 by hitting two free-throws with 23 seconds left.
