151. 5. 105. Final. 3

There has been plenty of excitement in the 2017 NHL Playoffs and the Ducks have been a part of most of the excitement.

The Ducks have continued to fight back in all their series in the 2017 NHL Playoffs. After losing game one of the Western Conference Finals at home they bounced back to win game two.

It seemed like their past was revisiting them when they lost game one. I say this since the Predators in the first round of the 2016 NHL Playoffs won the first two games in Anaheim. However in the 2017 NHL Playoffs that was not the case as the Ducks were able to secure game two at home.

Since Anaheim lost game one at home they will have to win on the road to go seven games. If they win two games on the road they can close out the series in six games.

Now back to the winning results of game two of the 2017 Western Conference Finals. In this victory the Ducks won on the ice, yet on paper they lost in multiple categories.

The Ducks had more giveaways 13 to 12 and less blocks 12 to 10. Additionally, they had more penalty minutes six to four and more hits 20 to 19. They even had less power plays but converted on half of them.

Anaheim barely had more possession 52% to 48%.  The Ducks had less shots on goal but were able to make more goals on less shots. This must mean they took more accurate shots and/or the Ducks defense was allowing the Predators to take many shots on goal.

Nonetheless the Anaheim Ducks won game two in an exciting fashion. In a sense it was a comeback victory. For most of the game the Predators were leading the game then Anaheim came back by tying it then taking the lead.

Then towards the end of regulation the Ducks scored with the Predators empty net securing the victory and winning by two goals. This was not an easy victory for Anaheim.

The Ducks worked their tails off as given by the multiple goals scored. Since this was a comeback win there was lots of physical play as well.

Now the question is not can the Ducks win on the road, it is will they win on the road?
