LA Sparks earn a well fought victory on their home court
The LA Sparks received their rings tonight as 2016 WNBA Finals Champions.
Rings were not the only thing the LA Sparks received, they also earned themselves a victory over the Washington Mystics. There has only been one game this season thus far.
Remember in the season opener a few LA Sparks didn’t play. However, in this game, the whole team suited up and the starters played. The starters played well enough to earn a victory.
As I mentioned for some starters, game two was their season debut. By LA winning it proved they didn’t let the rings distract them from their goal at hand.
This game was no easy victory. LA had a good lead then the Mystics narrowed it down, but the Sparks survived with a victory. Also, the reason this game was deemed to be tough is because Elena Della Donne is playing on a new team as one of the stars.

When she was with her former team the Chicago Sky she was the star, the franchise player. All of the WNBA was stunned when she decided to play with the Mystics. Additionally, former Spark Kristi Toliver played against her former team.
As far as the game goes head coach Brian Agler did something rare this game. He played a few players off of his bench. It seems like he is realizing by playing his bench he can rest his starters and allow his team to make the playoffs again.
By resting hist starters he allows them to stay healthy longer. Well i, allows the whole team to stay healthy.
In this game, everyone seemed to be healthy with four players in double figures. Nneka Ogwumike led the way with 23 points. Following close behind was Candace Parker with 18 points. LA was nearly excellent from the charity stripe 21-22 for 95%. Additionally, they shot three fewer three-pointers but made one more.
