The latest Lakers free agency rumors are focused on a former league MVP.

It’s okay to not want Derrick Rose on your team. Given his injury history, that’s understandable.

However, the Lakers find themselves at the ultimate crossroad this summer with decisions to be made that’ll impact the next generation of basketball. Under Magic Johnson, the goal is a championship.

The former purple and gold point guard doesn’t want anything less in Los Angeles.

Part of getting there is doing well in the off-season. This is done by drafting well and also attracting and signing the right free agents.

There are big names like Paul George that Los Angeles will be after next summer, but that doesn’t mean a dull search this time around.
