The latest Lakers rumors address how Lonzo Ball can be the rookie of the year.

Playing in Los Angeles isn’t easy, as any Lakers rumors or news can testify. Now that Los Angeles has made their big pick, former UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball is gearing up for year one.

Stepping into the ring, Ball will replace the former second overall pick from 2015 in D’Angelo Russell. Following a shocking trade involving shipping Russell to Brooklyn, there’s room to discuss if that was truly the best move for the team.

There are a number of solid rookies from this year’s draft class. Markelle Fultz has high hopes in Philadelphia, Josh Jackson could turn Phoenix into a playoff team, and Jayson Tatum hopes to be the missing piece for the Celtics.

For Lonzo Ball? All he wants is to be himself and let his play speak for itself.

Here’s three things he’ll need to do in his rookie campaign to separate himself from the pack.
