The Los Angeles Lakers have the roster to contend for the NBA Championship but certain players are either going to be great or not much of anything.

The Los Angeles Lakers are heading into next season as championship contenders, led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Barring injury concerns, it is safe to assume that they will both play at an all-star, and perhaps MVP, level.

Additionally, the Lakers picked up some very solid role players by signing Danny Green and re-signing JaVale Mcgee. Though they will not be stars, Lakers fans know exactly what to expect out of them.

Green is one of the best “three and D” players in the league, who does not need the ball in his hands to be effective. McGee is a shot-blocking presence who runs the floor and catches lobs and dump passes for easy buckets.

Even though they are unanimously considered contenders, many analysts greatly waiver on how far the Lakers will actually make it this season. Some say the greatness of LeBron and AD is too much to match, while others say there are far too many question marks to give them a chance against a team like the Los Angeles Clippers.

Even though the Lakers have their stars and have solid role players, there are other complementary players who’s performance this season may dictate how far they go in the playoffs.

There are three Los Angeles Lakers players who will be x-factors this season, and their boom-or-bust potential may be the difference of hoisting the Larry O’Brien in June.
