Signing Day was just two weeks ago, but it’s never too early to start looking towards the Class of 2013. Rashaad Samples, a 4-star receiver according to Rivals, is a Dallas, Texas recruit being sought out by the usual suspects: Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Cal, TCU and even UCLA. Our very own Shaan Franchi, a Cal recruiting expert, set up a Twitter interview with Samples exclusively for FanSided, and The 110 Report in particular. Here’s how it went down, and be sure to follow Franchi on Twitter, at @CalBearReporter:

Shaan Franchi: Hey, Rashaad. When did Cal offer you? Who is the main coach recruiting you from Cal? Do you have any interest in Cal right now?

Rashaad Samples: Yeah, I have interest in Cal. They offered me around November. Coach Kiesau was the main coach that was recruiting me, before he left

Shaan Franchi: Cal’s New WR Coach Wes Chandler talk to you recently? Also, do you talk with Adrian Klemm from UCLA a lot? What kind of contact has Klemm had with you?

Rashaad Samples: I’ve talked to Coach Chandler before and I knew coach Klemm from SMU.

Shaan Franchi: What’s your interest in: UCLA, ND, Ole Miss, LSU? Who are main coaches recruiting you?

Rashaad Samples: I like all those schools and I’m not sure about all the coaches. Coach Wilson from LSU and Coach Kelly from Notre Dame. I’m pretty open right now.

Shaan Franchi: Do you like UCLA’s new direction? Also, does playing in Spread or Pro offense matter?

Rashaad Samples: No pro or spread doesn’t really matter and yeah I like UCLA’s new direction. I think change is good.

Shaan Franchi: Last question: Is Washington recruiting you? What other things are you looking for in a school, have any junior days or anything else planned?

Rashaad Samples: Yes Washington is recruiting me and I’m looking for good coaches, good education, great fans, and a good atmosphere. I’m going to Lubbock on the 25th.

Shaan Franchi: Thanks Rashaad!
