The Ten Most Expensive Staples Center Tickets In 2014

The Staples Center centrally located in Downtown Los Angeles and is home to the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings and the Los Angeles Sparks. Aside from just being the home arena of a few sports teams the Staples Center also plays host to a variety of concerts and events. However with it being in LA ticket prices are bound to be more expensive than in most other cities in America and here we outline the ten most expensive Staples Center tickets of 2014:

1) 2/25 Dalai Lama: Avg $700, Get-in $237

On February 25th his holiness the Dalai Lama comes to the Staples Center to give a lecture to those in attendance. This is the single most expensive event at the Staples Center averaging $700 per ticket, more than double the next priciest event.

2) 4/6 Lakers @ Clippers: Avg $343, Get-in $80

That second most expensive event is the April 6th game between the Lakers and Clippers which is currently averaging $343 per ticket. This is the last time these teams meet in the regular season but fans can still find relatively inexpensive tickets for this game as the Get-in price is just $80.

3) 2/5 Clippers vs Heat: Avg $338, Get-in $74

The Miami Heat always are one of the most expensive games of the year when the two time defending NBA Champions come to town. So when they make the trip out to Hollywood on February 5th to play the Clippers fans can find tickets averaging $338 with a Get-in of $74.

4) 9/19 Katy Perry – Prismatic Tour: Avg $303, Get-in $88

Katy Perry is the first singer to make our list of most expensive Staples Center events in 2014 when her Prismatic Tour comes to Los Angeles on September 19th. Katy Perry tickets for her Staples Center date are going for an average of $303 at the Staples Center.

5) 2/21 Lakers vs Celtics: Avg $289, Get-in $58

The Lakers and Celtics have won more NBA Championships than any other franchise and have a ton of history. When these two teams get together it is always must watch television despite whatever their records may be which has seen tickets for this game average $289 with Get-in of $58.

6) 4/8 Lakers vs Rockets: Avg $288, Get-in $44

Coming in just behind the Celtics game the April 8th game against the Houston Rockets ranks as the sixth most expensive event in 2014 averaging $288. Lakers fans don’t have too many fond memories of Dwight Howard but are fortunate that they won’t have to pay a fortune to see him as they can Get-in for as little as $44.

7) 3/9 Lakers vs Thunder: Avg $279, Get-in $73

Kevin Durant has developed into one of the best players in the world and is fascinating when he has the ball in his hand. Tickets for when Durant and the Thunder come to LA on 3/9 are going for $279 with a Get-in of $73.

8) 3/6 Clippers @ Lakers: Avg $275, Get-in $69

This game will be a battle for the Staples Center as both teams call the building home and is no longer dominated by the Lakers. Blake Griffin always lights up arenas with his unbelievable dunking ability which has made tickets go up to $275 on average.

9) 4/11 Lakers vs Warriors: Avg $274, Get-in $69

The ninth priciest event at the Staples Center is the Lakers second to last home game of the season on April 11th against the Golden State Warriors. Lakers faithful will find that tickets are averaging $274 for this tilt against their instate rivals who are led by the sensational Stephen Curry.

10) 8/12 Justin Timberlake – The 20/20 Experience World Tour: Avg $270, Get-in $39

No list would be complete without Justin Timberlake who rounds out the top 10 most expensive events at the Staples Center in 2014 when he brings his 20/20 Experience World Tour to Hollywood in August. Tickets to see Timberlake take the stage in LA are going for $270 but fan can Get-in for low price of just $39.
