#7: Colorado Buffaloes (5th seed)
Colorado’s road to the semifinals is relatively easy with only USC and Cal in their way. However, the Buffs just lost at Cal in their regular season finale by a single point. That will be a great battle when it happens on Thursday because there is no way USC is going to beat Colorado. The problem with Colorado’s chances to win the whole tournament is that they have been smacked by Arizona twice this year and there is no way they take down the Wildcats in Vegas. A semifinal birth is their best hopes and they need to do it convincingly. A NCAA tournament birth may be stripped from them if they can’t take down Cal. If the lose to USC they’re probably on their way to MSG for the NIT.
