With the NBA season coming to a close and the playoffs right around the corner it’s time for us to give out our NBA Regular Season Awards. Here in Los Angeles we’ve witnessed some of the best basketball played this season and some of the worst. The Los Angeles Clippers have played an inspired brand of basketball for most of the season and have yielded not one but two MVP candidates. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers have defined what it means to be atrocious at basketball for most of the season, led by the incomparable Mike D’Antoni. However, if one had to choose a season to utterly stink in, this wasn’t the worst choice. Still, it’s been a long road for Laker fans and not having Kobe Bryant around for basically an entire season has been disappointing, to say the least.
This article isn’t about rewarding losers, though I couldn’t resist a couple of Least Valuable Votes. This piece is about recognizing the best players in the NBA this season and projecting the awards that will be handed out by the NBA this season. Let’s get to it!
