Steve Kerr

Steve Kerr is a respected member of the NBA community and will likely take the job as the head coach of the New York Knicks. However, he is a Southern California guy and would prefer to stay close to his home in San Diego.

The Lakers management is high on him because he is familiar with Phil Jackson‘s triangle offense and will, most likely, use that system wherever he’s the head coach next season. Kerr is likely waiting on the fate of Mark Jackson in Golden State before making any sort of decision; however, if the Lakers come calling Jeanie Buss may be able to outsmart her fiance in New York.
