If he proves too rich for Doc’s taste, Ekpe Udoh represents another defensive specialist who, after not receiving a $6 million qualifying offer from Milwaukee, may be available at their price.

Udoh has similar elite length and defensive instincts as Davis, though his offensive games leaves a LOT to be desired. But that’s not why he’d be coming to play for the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Baylor product held his own under the hoop, only allowing opponents to score on 46.3 percent of attempts at the rim last season and blocking one shot per game in 19 minutes of work. Udoh has great team defense instincts and can hold his own in one-on-one situations, as well as in a book club.
