Goff is an interesting case because, much like Halliday, he’s going to throw the ball a ton. Coach Sonny Dykes runs a similar system to Mike Leach and will allow Goff to dink and dunk his way to 4,000+ yards and 25+ TD’s this season.

However, we really don’t know much about Goff’s playmakers or the Cal program at this point. Dykes and the Bears didn’t show well last season, but there were some promising moments.

There is no downside to Goff. He’s either going to be a mediocre QB who throws the ball a ton, turns over the ball more than he should, and wins 5 games or he’s going to be one of the top 6 QB’s in the league and prove that Dykes system will work well in the Pac-12.
