The Knicks are slowly become “Lakers East”. I’m not quite sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing at this point, but it’s a valid point. Phil Jackson is now the GM of the Knicks and Derek Fisher, the 5x NBA Champion with the Lakers, is the new Head Coach.

Watching Fisher coach a basketball team while Kobe Bryant is playing for another team is an interesting dynamic that is sure to make headlines. Throw in the owner of the Lakers making out with the GM of the Knicks courtside and you have a reality show.

That is what this game will be: a reality show. But Los Angeles loves a good show. It will be interesting to see how Carmelo Anthony is received in Los Angeles after thinking about signing with the Lakers, but eventually turning his back on Hollywood in favor of the Big Apple. You know Kobe is going to try and send a message to Fisher, Jackson, and Anthony. It’s going to be one of the more memorable games of the season for sure.
