Assesing special teams
Uchenna Nwoso was an impact player on special teams, making two big hits on kickoff coverage. A big hit on the kickoff can set the tone for the defense.
Andre Heidari is now a senior and he needs to find consistency as the Trojans get into tight ball games. He followed up his missed field goal with a shanked kickoff out of bounds. He must improve quickly. PunterKris Albaradohad the day off since the Trojans did not punt.
The Trojans only had one return on six punts, which Jackson took for 10 yards. They need to give their punt returners some more room to make a play.
