This one should be obvious: Paul is the team’s leader and motor offensively. Without Paul, the Clippers’ offense is in trouble. Paul has one of the best basketball I.Q.’s in the league, knowing precisely when to shoot, pass, as well as who to target. In addition to his 19.1 points and 10.2 assists per-game, Paul also helps out tremendously on the defensive end.

His understanding of ball movement and passing lanes offensively has helped him steal the ball at a rate of 1.9 per-game this season which is good for sixth in the league. Though statistically he hasn’t been as disruptive this season as he has in the past, Paul is still a force to be reckoned with, especially when playing on-ball defense.

Look for Chris Paul to exceed his 34.9 minutes per-game average a lot in the playoffs, as he’s simply too important to this team to sit for too long (sorry Austin Rivers).
