When this fight becomes a slugfest, can Mayweather adjust to Pacquiao’s accurate punching combos? Over Mayweather’s last three fights the number of punches thrown is declining, indicating he is slowing down.

Here are the number of punches thrown by Mayweather in his last three fights: 505, 426 and 326.

Pacquiao lands more punches than Mayweather, so when the punches are landing, with a firm but fair referee in place, will Mayweather fight back? Going away from his style of boxing of retreating and playing counter puncher will not work this time around. He will not be allowed to grapple.
