1. Size Doesn’t Matter

Since moving up to the welterweight division, Manny Pacquiao has always been the smaller fighter — all except twice against Timothy Bradley (Bradley being 5’6” and Pacquiao being 5’6 1/2”).

Pacquiao did lose in the first meeting against Bradley, but size did not matter. The judges played dumb and took the fight into their own hands giving the controversial decision to Bradley.

So Pacquaio has been the smaller fighter in nine out of eleven welterweight division fights.

This means, at least for Manny, size is not a factor versus Mayweather who stands at 5’8”.

Here are boxers who have been much bigger or the same size as Mayweather, which Pac-Man fought:

Joshua Clottey, 5’8”; Brandon Rios, 5’8”; Shane Mosley 5’9”; Chris Algieri, 5’10”;  Oscar de la Hoya, 5’10 1/2”; Antonio Margarito, 5’11”.

It’s also worth noting that all of these resulted in victories for Pacquiao.
