I’m not going to bash Hamilton the way a certain SB Nation blogger got fired for recently. However, I will say that Hamilton’s comments at his Rangers press conference I think confirmed exactly why myself and several others who haven’t seemed to have a clear voice in this feel about the situation.

He messed up – and no accountability was expressed on his part.

  • It’s true that Arte Moreno knew what he was getting himself into when he signed Hamilton. But that’s why there was language in the contract against drugs and alcohol. That’s why Arte said ‘take it or leave it’ when he presented the offer to Hamilton.

And if Josh wishes he never left, maybe he should’ve given the Rangers a better chance at matching the Angels’ offer?

Well, there’s nothing anyone can do to change that. All I know is that when Hamilton is sending batting practice video to the Rangers as early as March, then it means he had a trade in mind all along.
