• Cam Bedrosian was just optioned to AAA Salt Lake to make room for Matt Shoemaker, who will be activated from the bereavement list to start tomorrow.
• Hamilton vetoed a trade to a National League team, rumored to be the Arizona Diamondbacks. That deal would not have required any relinquishment of salary on Josh’s part. Hamilton also rejected the transaction because he wanted to go back to Texas.
• After Nick Tropeano‘s fabulous start against the A’s last week, the team optioned him to AAA Salt Lake, and then recalled Grant Green.
• The Halos claimed Gary Brown from the St. Louis Cardinals and optioned him to the Bees.
