The Los Angeles Lakers have been blessed with lady luck, as they took home the number two overall pick in the NBA draft lottery. Initially predicted the fourth pick, being able to draft after Minnesota will allow the Lakers to accelerate their rebuild.
According to Baxter Holmes of ESPN, Lakers management seem keen on drafting a big man:
Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor will likely take the first two spots in the NBA Draft, which will take place on June 25, 2015. Which player is a better fit for the Lakers, I hear you ask? Both players offer tremendous upside, but only one would get to play in Tinseltown.
Let’s start with Karl-Anthony Towns.
