Knowing that the Lakers could build with either player is a comforting thing to know — it sort of helps us avoid the concept of the Lakers potentially messing up one of the most rewarding draft selections ever.
And I don’t say that lightly.
Keeping in mind also that both players are already familiar with championship-caliber teammates, coaching staff, and mentalities, that will only help the Lakers get back into contending status.
And we know how much L.A. loves victory.
