How They Got Here: Chicago Blackhawks

Chicago got to the Stanley Cup Final by simply being able to play just good enough to get into overtime — the phase of the game where the Blackhawks suddenly became magical on the ice.

Despite not going to overtime ever in their second round clash with the Minnesota Wild, the Blackhawks shared a triple overtime and a double overtime game with both the Nashville Predators and Anaheim Ducks — they’ll need to do that if they expect to return with the Stanley Cup.

This will be the ultimate survival test for a team that seems to do good with or without their captain or star players at 100%.

Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews will be the biggest offensive factors for the Blackhawks, but if Tampa Bay’s defense can figure them out often and early, it will cause a severe scoring drought for the Blackhawks.

And we all know you can’t win the game if you don’t score more than the other team.
