Corey Crawford – Chicago Blackhawks

As eerie as this might sound for the Blackhawks and any Chicago fans out there, this is not the same Corey Crawford that we’ve seen before on hockey’s biggest stage.

This is a Crawford who was playing so poorly he was benched in favor of a previous nobody by the name of Scott Darling (who, if you ask anyone that follows hockey, did a pretty good job keeping his team in it).

Now with Crawford back at the helm — or net, I should say — the plethora of concern will come if and when the Lightning score first or even jump out to a multi-goal lead.

Sure, the Blackhawks have proved everyone wrong before by winning when no one gave them even the slimmest of a fighting chance, but the Stanley Cup Final is different.

It takes  a whole new kind of mindset, completely different than what it takes to do well in the regular season or even the first couple rounds of post season play.

It’s time for Crawford to put his legacy on ice for all of us to be the judge.

    Or else.
