This series proved to be the most dominant of the three straight appearances and wins for the Lakers from 2000-2002, as it ended in four games.
The Nets didn’t stand a chance against LA from the beginning and even though they had home court advantage in the series.

It didn’t benefit them one-bit against the then two-time defending champions.
But now we know them as the three-peat team.
Like Allen Iverson the year prior, this was Jason Kidd’s career ultimatum.
And it didn’t end well or how he or most of his fan base thought it would or wanted to.
But that’s all good in Los Angeles, because the Lakers found another way to make momma proud and do something for the history books that will be remember in the years, decades, and even centuries to come.
Now all we have to do is take the next big step towards future glory.
