This had to be one of the biggest moments for Southern California baseball since the success of the Dodgers in the 80’s.
The Angels got a victory against the San Francisco Giants in a series that went the full seven games and gave the baseball world plenty to talk about.
Like the Lakers of 2010, the Angels overcame a 3-2 deficit and dealt with adversity that they haven’t gotten the chance to handle since that season.
Los Angeles edged San Francisco 6-5 in Game 6 and then closed out the series and the season with a 4-1 tear down of the Bay Area ball club.
Mike Scioscia was more than ecstatic, as you can imagine, to add this to his resume and the manger at the time of the Giants, Dusty Baker, was left wishing someone would pinch him and wake him up from the bad dream.
But sometimes dream do come true.
Thankfully, this one wasn’t too good to do just that.
